Description:
Corner Brook Pulp and Paper added a cogeneration facility in its existing Pulp and Paper Plant. The project consisted of adding a new superheater and associated instrumentation to the existing Boiler No. 7 to produce a high-pressure steam to run back-pressure steam turbine with single automatic extraction. The challenges of fitting new equipment in a tight existing building, commissioning of new equipment and gradual integration to the Mill’s process was achieved successfully.
