Gertrude Bradbury has been the General Manager of Locke’s Electrical since 1986 and President since 2017. She was educated at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Mrs. Bradbury has been responsible for establishing current and long range objectives, plans and policies that cover company operations, personnel, financial performance and growth. Prior to working with Locke’s Gertrude spent a number of years as a secondary school teacher in the province.
Gertrude is currently a Trustee for the 2330 and 1620 Benefit Plan Trust Fund, Director (Line Sector) of the CLRA and Co Chair of the Navigate Advisory Board, Grenfell Office of Engagement/CNA. She is also an active member of WPO (Women Presidents’ Organization).
Kevin Gosse is an established contractor in the transmission line industry since the 1990s. Previous owner and operator of K&G Construction, he has been responsible for the growth of the power line/Transmission Line and substation operations within Locke’s Electrical.
Kevin has extensive business experience in the electrical utilities sector. Beginning his career thirty years ago as a linesman, it became clear early in his career that his combination of work ethic, drive and dedication were the right combination to assume a management and leadership role. In 2016 he became a partner in the company and since then has found and optimized opportunities for the company to expand and grow. Today he leads the Project Management Team and works directly with clients to ensure successful execution and strengthen long standing customer partnerships.
Since joining the team in 2014, Julia has held various positions such as Administrative Assistant, Administrative Quality Assurance Manager and Manager of Accounts and Document Control. Julia completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2012 from Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador. In 2020, she received her Master of Business Administration through Laurentian University, focusing on finance and operations management.
Julia is responsible for group operational and financial performance reporting while managing major capital expenditure prioritization and allocation of resources. She supports the team in considering acquisitions, disposals and financing.
Peter Sturge is a Red Seal journeyman by trade and has been the Superintendent for a wide array of construction projects within the province. Peter joined the Locke’s team in 2016 and continuously moved upwards in the company’s management team from superintendent, Construction Manager and most recently Operations Manager.
Peter leads and supports a dedicated team of professionals in providing clients with highly customized solutions in the industry by implementing the right processes and practices across the organization.
