Description:
As part of a 3-year project, starting in spring of 2016, IOC is upgraded the heating plant substation. Involvement with this project included the following:
Civil Works 2016:
• excavation backfill and compaction of the entire site
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete for the 3 x gantry foundations and piers
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete for the 8 x E-house foundations and piers
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete for basin footing, slab and walls
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete for the 4 firewalls
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete 3 x transformer and NGR pads
• Installation of grounding grid
• Installation of Fencing
• Installation of concrete sleepers
OHL Works 2016:
• Reroute existing 46kV OHL – install new pole and anchors
• Assemble and erect new steel gantry structure
• Installation of 2 x gang operated switches
Electrical 2017:
• Supply and installation of all cable tray
• Supply and installation of all power and control cables
• High voltage terminations
• Energization of new GIS building
• Energization of two new 46kV transformers and one 5kV transformer
• Demolition of old substation
Civil 2017:
• Excavation backfill and compaction of the entire site
• Installation of formwork, rebar and concrete for the 8 x E-house foundations and piers
• Installation of new grounding grid
• Installation of new concrete sleepers
